Want to run a community forum on climate change?

Rewrite the Future: Climate Conversations 2010 is a package of materials developed by Lighter Footprints for Climate Emergency Network members and other interested parties to assist climate action groups and other community groups undertake community forums on climate change.

The aim of the Rewrite the Future: Climate Conversations Forum 2010 package is to improve climate literacy in the community; provide people with an opportunity to learn more about available solutions and enable them to participate in a discussion with experts and their peers about priorities for action.

To reduce the workload of groups running these forums, all the written materials for the forum are provided – this includes: a checklist for organisers; template media releases and promotional flyers; template invitations; a workbook for participants; a guidebook for facilitators; and the attached paper providing background information for invitees. A copy (long and short versions) of the report from the Lighter Footprints forum is also available.

Anyone is welcome to download these materials and use them to conduct their own Rewrite the Future: Climate Conversations forum.
